The City of Blausted Squadron is a unit transferred into the Colonial Fleet from Imperial Virgon, it has a long history that includes campaigns on Tauron, being stationed on Picon and relatively recently interventions at Saggitaron. It was equipped with Spaceplanes before the start of the Cylon War and for much of the early part of the conflict fought with them, developing its own 'Rules of Combat' booklet which is now taught to new pilots. It has fought in most major campaigns of the early War (Tauron, Caprica) and been combined with two other Virgon Squadrons due to losses. It proudly retains surviving Spaceplanes and Mark Is alongside newer Mark IIs claiming it can fly all to the same amazing standard. There is some truth to this but it also helps that the Squadron's ground crew has been awarded specific honours for their maintenance record and 'make-do ability'; with spacefighter production companies having observed the in-field modifications they've made and regularly pinched members to consult. The Squadron was only added to the Pacifica Air Wing in a recent reconstitution of the air group.
