- A people of the surface, obviously humans. They had an Imager technology. Gehn joined with them after the Fall of D'ni and married Keta. He noticed similarities between the cultures of the D'ni people and the Amad, including the Imager. He speculated whether there had been communication or commerce in ancient times. Gehn enjoyed the thought that they could be descendants of the D'ni. In the early days of D'ni some D'ni disappeared during the construction of the ventilation systems, probably left for the surface. In that case, the notion that they are descendants of the D'ni is not far-fetched.
