Big Brother 17, also known as Big Brother 2016 was the seventeenth series of the British reality television series Big Brother. The series launched on June 7, 2016 on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom and TV3 in Ireland. This was the first series to feature two separate houses. This years prize fund was reduced to £70,000, after Jason Burrill claimed £20,000 from the prize fund during the Day 36 annihilation task. Jackson Blyton and Alex Cannon also received £5,000 each from the prize fund during another annihilation week task.
