Its headquarters, which had been abandoned for years, later served as a hideout for the gang responsible for the slappers. Terry McGinnis commented that it was the perfect hiding place, as nobody read paper newspapers anymore. Most of the building was destroyed after the "slapper" lab inside exploded during a fight between Batman and the gang's mastermind, Jackson Chappell.
