Sonic asks him what's up, and Rotor tells him his mother, his brother Skeeter, and his entire herd has fallen under Dr. Eggman's hypnotic control. Sonic and Sally both get the idea of using the Sword of Acorns to reverse Eggman's mind control. Sally heads to Castle Acorn and takes the sword, which speaks to her. Sally asks if anyone else heard it, but neither Sonic or Rotor heard anything. Bunnie overhears their conversation and asks to join them on their mission. "I Herd It Through The Pipeline" - Part Two The group arrives in the Northern Tundra via submarine. Sonic starts to feel seasick and the group notices an oil pipeline on the seafloor. Meanwhile, in Robotropolis, Dr. Eggman and Snively spot the Freedom Fighter's submarine on a nearby monitor. Eggman orders Snively to unleash their secret weapon. Back in the tundra, Sonic and his friends are electrocuted as a robotic electric eel grapples the submarine. Rotor activates emergency escape pods, which send them to the surface of the ocean, leaving their submarine destroyed by the robot. "I Herd It Through The Pipeline" - Part Three The Freedom Fighters find Rotor's herd being controlled by Dr. Eggman, who is gloating about Sonic not being able to stop him. Sonic and Bunnie attack the surrounding Icebots while Sally takes care of restoring the herd's free will and Rotor destroys the oil well Eggman was forcing his herd to build. "I Herd It Through The Pipeline" - Conclusion With the oil well blown sky high, Rotor reunites with his family and promises that he'll never let anyone hurt them again. Rotor introduces them to his friends and thanks Sonic for his help. The group heads off to find some food while Eggman rages over his loss.
