During his college years Alamo also briefly played with the now-defunct Central Coast Roadrunners of the USL Premier Development League in their 2002 Championship-winning season. Alamo was the 18th overall pick in the 2008 MLS Supplemental Draft, selected by the Los Angeles Galaxy; however, he is unlikely to feature prominently in the 2008, after he tore knee ligaments during the Galaxy's pre-season.[1]
