Mrs. Spillane's was a hotel in Hell's Kitchen, New York owned by and named after Corky Spillane. The Tattaglias seized control of it during the Forties but soon found themselves out of their depth in Hells Kitchen and largely withdrew. When Aldo Trapani began his assault on Hell's Kitchen, the hotel was extorted easily as there was no seperate racket in this buisness and only guarded by one lone Tattaglia soldato. After extorting Mrs Spillane Aldo then brought the safehouse room for $45.000 dollars so he had a base from which to work.
