- Vikings invaded twice on their way down from Scandinavia. In 943, Vikings buried a flask containing Fenric in the town of Maiden's Point. The Haemovore known as the Ancient One followed them and over generations transformed several people into Haemovores. (TV: The Curse of Fenric) In the late summer of 1066, a Viking scouting party arrived to make way for Harald Hardrada's invasion of England. The Monk planned to destroy the Viking longship fleet with an atomic cannon in order to prevent their landing, thus negating the reduction in Harold Godwinson's force strength before the Battle of Hastings and preventing the Norman victory under William the Conqueror. The plan was foiled when Saxons from Wulnoth's village ran the Monk and the Vikings out of the Monk's monastery. (TV: The Time Meddler)
