- This Sprite of Dr. Cossack, which can be seen by looking at it closely, reveals that he was supposed to turn to the side when moving from left to right in his vehicle during the battle. No word as to why it went unused. It probably would have looked a bit better.
- Mega Man 4, known in Japan as Rockman 4: Aratanaru Yabou!! (ロックマン4 新たなる野望!! Rokkuman 4 Aratanaru Yabou!!?, which means, "Rockman 4: A New Evil Ambition!!"), is the fourth game in the Mega Man series released for the Family Computer and NES late in the console's life (1991-93). The game introduced the New Mega Buster as well as the concept of a "fake" villain (Dr. Cossack).
- It had been about a year since the events of Mega Man 3. Dr. Wily had seemingly perished after the final battle, having been apparently crushed by the falling debris from his fortress. But the peace is short-lived when Dr. Light is contacted by a new Mad Scientist named Dr. Cossack, who has sent his own new breed of robot masters out to challenge Mega Man. Tired of Dr. Light recieving all of the recognition for his accomplishments while his have been ignored, Cossack intends to destroy Light's crowning achievement and then put his broken body on display for the whole world to see, as proof that he is the superior one.
- Of course, Light would not stand for this, so once again, peace in the world was shattered, and Mega Man was called forth from his search for Wily (whom they had yet to find) to go after Cossack's Robot Masters. This time, however, Dr. Light had an upgrade ready for Mega Man's Buster. He had modified it into what he calls the "Mega Buster," which allows him to charge/focus energy into powerful plasma shots.
- Mega Man 4 is the fourth Nintendo Entertainment System entry in the Mega Man series, initially being released in 1991. The game is, as always, a traditional platforming title that requires Mega Man to venture through eight stages, defeat each of the Robot Masters in each stage, and then finally take on Dr. Wily's fortress. New enhancements were added to the game, including the ability to charge your shots, a grappling hook, a new robot friend (Flip-Top), and various others.
