  • Ian Busch, along with his wife Bree, was a record producer, and co-sponsor of the project to get Hayley Blue, late of "The Blue Pill" band, on the wagon. Tragically, however, as "Famous Last Words" commences, Hayley has just been found dead. Ian and Bree sought to help Hayley clean up her act in every way, giving up the substances and leaving behind the band, who Bree said were holding her back. They opened their home to her, but, unfortunately, Hayley had a relapse, took her stuff and split. So, at least, it seemed. The darker truth, slowly unwinding from the shadows, was that Ian had forced himself on Hayley, and she, seeing in him a father figure and unable to face Bree with so monstrous a truth, had fled. Ian had realized he would lose everything if she talked, and so, using his wife's phone, he set a trap. He pretended to be Bree, said "she" had found out what Ian did and wanted to talk to Hayley. When Hayley grasped the lie, it was already too late. Ian staged the murder scene to look like one of the band's videos, implicating Franco Marquez, an obsessive fan and stalker, against whom Hayley had taken out a restraining order. In the end, however, and with much help from Alexis, Beckett and Castle found the clues to her killer's identity which Hayley scattered in the lyrics of her last song resulting in Ian being apprehended while Bree, disgusted with what he had done, filed for divorce.
