The Hollow Magus is a particularly annoying breed of monster found on B2F or B3F of the Hall of Darkness. If a Hollow Magus is the only Hollow Magus present, it will call for help and summon another one. Much like its fellow Hollows, it has an incredibly high dodge rate that can be neutralized with leg bind which it is very susceptible to.

abstract	The Hollow Magus is a particularly annoying breed of monster found on B2F or B3F of the Hall of Darkness. If a Hollow Magus is the only Hollow Magus present, it will call for help and summon another one. Much like its fellow Hollows, it has an incredibly high dodge rate that can be neutralized with leg bind which it is very susceptible to. While their Ice Purge attack can do a number on the party via ice damage, their main threat is the Bloody Pact ability - it does a tiny amount of damage to any one of their allies (including themselves) - for a 50% damage buff on that target. What this amounts to is Muskoids starting to petrify the entire party as they have taken damage, and Red Lions awakening and proceeding to tear the party to shreds. There are two ways to go about this - either disable the monsters that are large threats with Bloody Pact, or bind/kill off the Hollow Magus quickly. Bear in mind that killing the Magus can result in other monsters, like the Thunder Spawn, getting furious and turning more aggressive.
