The Mamuta (ミウリン Miurin) is a peculiar found in the first two Pikmin games. It is fairly large, and has two small eyes with dark markings around each one. Its body is notably asymmetrical and is covered in tiny white and grey hairs. It has markings on its arms, hinting it might be sentient. In the first game, it just stands and watches when Pikmin walk by. If any harm comes to it, however, it becomes enraged and pounds the Pikmin into the ground. This doesn't kill them, but replants them and turns them into flower Pikmin by some unknown process, which can be used to one's advantage, though it can get very annoying when it comes to plucking the Pikmin if one is in a hurry. However, with the Pluckaphone, a Mamuta can do more good than bad, as the planted Pikmin can simply be called out of t

  • A Mamuta is a rock monster with two small dark eyes and dark markings around each one in the Pikmin series for Nintendo GameCube and New Play Control for Wii. The Mamuta can't kill Pikmin, it smacks them and they get planted, they turn into flowers. He was in The Impact Site in Pikmin, and a few caves in Pikmin 2. He was rare in Pikmin, only every few days it would show up. The other days Goolix is there, either that or no monster. Yellow Pikmin are the best Pikmin to kill, because they throw Bomb-rocks at it. When any harm comes to it, the Mamuta becomes enraged and it will smack them to the ground. The Smoky Progg is thought to be the larva of the Mamuta. It can be troublesome without the Pluckaphone in Pikmin. In order to defeat it quickly, Olimar must have Yellows bring in the Bomb-roc
