Bottomjaw Castle was finded 489 years before the Last Day of Lobtonne, fifty days after the Battle Over the Vyk on the first day of the new year by Kenes, a Rainlander man who was to be the architect of Bottomjaw, as well as its first Kalth King. Kenes built Bottomjaw Castle around the Shadowfinger, which the mighty River Vykskytunulok flows around. The Shadowfinger is roughly pentagonal, so Kenes built Bottomjaw Castle in the shape of a pentagon. It continued to grow for centuries, with construction of the castle ongoing even by the time of Tale of Zul when the Kalths have been overthrown by the threeeyed-vyzards of Prince Pyett. The threeeyes had control over the largest military on that Earth, and the full resources of the Bottomjaw Empire at their disposal. Kalth Viceses was the last Kalth King of Bottomjaw, fleeing Lobtonne after his son, Hockrott the Hornman, transformed into the First Tallman by becoming one soul with the Shine, and died in an explosion which tore the Skyscar across the sky over Billow's Sea. The King of Bottomjaw commanded the Order of Myklasi Knights, who were finded to protect the area around the River Vykskytunulok in honor of Myklas, who paid with her life to save that Earth from the Southern Sage. During the reign of King Kalth Kreres, the grandfather of Viceses, Bottomjaw entered an expansionist period, and began conquering neighboring countries, starting off with Iggrub, then Xhaeer, Xhomali, and Xo Mal, and then Inundaria, and Ormur. The Zya, unconquered, had been completely enclaved by the Bottomjaw Empire as it moved to take Zkrim, the capital of the Headsmen. In the west, the Rainland fell shortly after the death of Kalar Relth, and the invasion of Flayeland began on MK: 24/10/488 ; CC: 49/5/5,217 about a Myklasi month after King Kalth Viceses dueled with his father in the scorchgardens beneath the Shadowfinger, defeating him, tearing out his heart and throwing it into the Pentagonal Pit of the Shadowfinger, and ascending the throne. Spindlefingers officiated the duel. Viceses was in search of his son, Rott, who had been left at the Flayelandic village of Runol by his father Kalth Kelcheldes.
