The Nose wished to tell the military about this, but Simon Le Simon fired him for not keeping it secret.

  • Jealous, David Alvinson investigates Simon le Simon. David figures Bratty may be next on the list. He goes to see "The Nose," an expert perfumist who had once worked for Simon, but was fired after he had a falling out with his ex-employer. "The Nose" reveals that in concocting one their new perfume lines, he accidentally duplicated a secret military rocket fuel that if dropped, would be highly explosive! The Nose wished to tell the military about this, but Simon Le Simon fired him for not keeping it secret. David Alvinson's hunch prove correct, but Bratty will not listen to him, having accepted Simon's offer of marriage. The wedding is to take place after the filming of a perfume commercial, after which Bratty and Simon will celebrate their honeymoon by hot air balloon. David figures that the balloon trip is a chance for Simon to flee the country. David interrupts the perfume commercial with models dressed in root beer bottle costumes, but Simon has already untied the balloon and has taken Bratty hostage. David Alvinson uses a basketball to "make a basket in the basket of the hot air balloon", knocking out Simon Le Simon, then climbing the balloon's ropes to rescue Bratty. After she wakes up, Alvin came saying that his basketball practice was lousy and he was about to watch a basketball game, when Brittany got mad and threw a pillow on him, so he changes his mind, saying he was kidding.
