A mercenary is a person who takes part in an armed conflict who is not a national or a party to the conflict and is "motivated to take part in the hostilities by the desire for private gain." In other words, a mercenary is a person who fights for personal gains of money or other recompense instead of fighting for the ideological interests of a country, whether they be for or against the existing government. In the last century, and as reflected in the Geneva Convention, mercenaries have increasingly come to been seen as less entitled to protections by rules of war than non-mercenaries. However, whether or not a person is a mercenary may be a matter of degree, as financial and national interests may overlap.

Due to the rising need for mercenaries, Private Military Corporations have opened up to countries around the world. As PMC corporations got more humanitary, governments are more accepting of using mercenaries in the art of war. Of course with more pay. Mercenaries are commonly used by countries who doesn't want to get directly involved in combat. Each Private Military Contractor features unique perks that could help get the job done with only a "small" price. PMCs can rise and fall depending on how they are treated with the rest of the world. But the most important thing about using mercenaries, means that they are superpower for hire. Recent customers can get discounts the more they use them.
