Mrs. Donner, as her name suggests, is Donner's wife in the Rankin/Bass version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Donner being one of Santa Claus' Reindeer) and, as such, is mother to the reindeer who would become Santa's 9th(see notes). Mrs. Donner offered to help her husband go looking for their son after he ran away. Despite Donner telling her not to help him, she helped him look for the boy anyway, accompanied by a young doe, Clarice. All three of them were soon captured by the Abominable Snowmonster of the North, but the young son returned and rescued them.
