Versatile and maneuverable despite their behemoth bulk, these cruisers formed the backbone of the Taung Armada and proved to be one of the best cruisers in service during the Cruentusian War. However, although the Mandalore-class cruisers seemed like they were the pinnacles of destructive power at the beginning of production, Mandalore cruisers had large rates of fire and early versions of the cruisers had a tendency of overheating and melting through their own hulls. Furthermore, the main mass drivers were almost never used at one hundred percent power because the projectile would often turn the command bridge into molten sludge.
