| - So much poetry has come from Point over the years that it is impossible to collected every single piece of it. Ronnie Black, one of the foremost scholars of Gaelic poetry, said that Bayble was the poetry capital of the world, and many poets have come from the other villages of the area as well. In spite of that, not much has been written about this poetry or about the bards who wrote and composed it. Aside from two or three of the most famous poets, the dozens of others have received very little of the attention or acknowledgement which they deserve. Because of this, I decided to establish this project. I wanted the village poets and others to be brought to people’s attention, and to bring recognition to the wealth of unpublished poetry that exists. With that aim in mind, and with support and funding from Comunn na Gàidhlig, this project was begun. It is an ongoing project and can be added to at any time.
