The Wetar figbird (Sphecotheres hypoleucus), is a species of figbird in the Oriolidae family. It is endemic to forest, woodland and scrub on the Indonesian island of Wetar. It remains very poorly known, but is possibly threatened by habitat loss, resulting in it being listed as Near Threatened by BirdLife International and the IUCN. It resembles the far better known Australasian figbird, but it is a lot smaller and the male has entirely white underparts. It has been considered a subspecies of Sphecotheres viridis, but today all major authorities consider the two as separate species.
