The hash mark # has a few purposes: * Press # before entering an extended command. * A # on the screen normally represents a dungeon corridor, but can also be a tree, cloud, stinking cloud, sink or (rarely) iron bars. * On the skill screen, # denotes a skill that cannot be #enhanced any further. Note that "#" cannot be the first character of the name of any Wikihack article. This is why articles about extended commands such as #chat omit the "#" from the article name.
