She was edcuated at Heckmondike Grammar School, and studied Drama at Loughborough University and got her MA in Screenwriting from London College of Communication in 2001. Tracy is best remembered for her roles as clumsy waitress Sandra opposite David Jason in A Bit of a Do, Tricia Armstrong in Coronation Street from 1994 to 1997 and Ginny in three seasons of Richard Harris' Outside Edge. She has also appeared in EastEnders as Roxy Drake, The Ghost Hunter as Mrs. Oliver, and Love + Hate directed by Dominic Savage. In 2006, she appeared in an episode of Midsomer Murders entitled Dead Letters. In 2008, she began to appear in a series of commercials for supermarket chain Sainsbury's playing the role of Sarah, a mother-of-two and Sainsbury's employee who does her weekly shopping at the store. More recently she played Lyndsey Bernstein in Law and Order UK and Pam in Chris Lang's thriller Undeniable. Tracy has written for Heartbeat, Family Affairs, Crossroads, Tracy Beaker, and was team writer on Hollyoaks for two years. Tracy has written for Shameless for Company Pictures and has been a team writer for three seasons on Seacht. More recently she has been working with mentor Elizabeth Karlsen, producer of Madame in Dagenham, on a romantic comedy feature called Father August for the prestigious She Writes programme celebrated at BAFTA March 2011. Minkie Spiro is attached to direct. Tracy's first episode of Doctors will be screened on BBC One December 17, 2012. Tracy recently played Linda, Sharon and Annie in Simon Beaufoy's play The Full Monty directed by Sheffield theatre's award winning director Daniel Evans. The play opened at Sheffield Crucible to rave reviews and standing ovations, going on a national tour followed by a West End run at the Noel Coward Theatre. This production has been nominated for Best Comedy at the Olivier Award 2014. Previous theatre includes the lead role in Shelagh Stevenson's The Long Road at Curve in Leicester directed by Adel Al Salloum and Joy in Meat written by Jimmy Osbourne at the 503 Theatre in London.
