Pony Pokey is third and final song in the season one finale The Best Night Ever. It is sung entirely by Pinkie Pie and is accompanied with live music from Octavia Melody and other members of the small orchestra at the Gala. She sings this song in attempt to brighten the snobbish and mundane mood of the Grand Galloping Gala, which is not what she imagined the Gala to be. The song matches most of the events that are shown on-screen.

The song matches most of the events that are shown on-screen. The song is one of many variations of "Hokey Pokey" or "Hokey Cokey". Since the original in America is still copyrighted, the show used a slightly altered melody. This song's instrumental part was added by William Anderson after Shannon Chan-Kent recorded her vocals, and according to data on Broadcast Music, Inc.'s website, the original composer of the melody was Daniel Ingram, with Anderson adding music later. It is the sixth track on the album Pinkie Pie's Party Playlist. The version on the album has much different instrumentation akin to the standard FIM song such as the guitar, mandolin, and synthesizer, and also removes Fluttershy's line.
