Dick Grayson returns to Blüdhaven, determined to track down Firefly and whoever else is responsible for burning the circus down, not least because they must have made the Dick Grayson/Nightwing connection. However, almost as soon as he leaves his building to patrol as Nightwing, it explodes, killing everyone inside with the exception of Aaron Helzinger (Amygdala). As Tarantula is on the scene, he initially assumes it was her doing, but she has simply arrived too late to rescue John Law. Nightwing knows that Blockbuster is likely to be behind the attack, no matter who planted the explosives, and sets out to find him.
