| - Janet has the strength of a normal human female of her age, height, and build who engages in moderate regular exercise. The Wasp's strength was boosted when she reduced in size, and increased geometrically when she chose to use her growing powers. At 10 feet tall, van Dyne could lift 1,000 pounds, at 25 feet tall she could lift 10 tons, and at 100 feet tall, van Dyne could lift 50 tons. The higher van Dyne grew past 25 feet, the more of her strength she had to use simply to support her own enormous mass. When reduced in size, Janet's muscle density is noticeably increased, hinting that her strength may indeed be proportionally superhuman at tiny size, but to what degree is unknown.

She is known for the loyalty she commands from and returns to those who work for her, as well as her impeccable business ethics. She also strives to be environmentally responsible in her businesses.
*Talented Fashion Designer: Janet is a very talented fashion designer. Over the years her talent earned her great acclaim in the fashion world. After taking control of van Dyne Industries, Janet created a Fashion Design Branch that she gives preferential treatment, and she constantly designs them new clothes.
*Multilingual: Janet can speak fluent English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
*Skilled Combatant: Janet has adapted to a special kind of hand-to-hand combat styles that were created by Hank Pym depending on her size. If he is small, she takes advantage of the opponent's larger form by assaulting points of his/her body that they would not expect and move to another before they detected her. This shrunken flighting style also includes techniques that enable them to: strike pressure points before the opponent even realizes what happened, quickly alter size to dodge blows, and use their opponent's weight and momentum against them. If she was giant, she would take advantage of her own massive form and use attacks that would either throw them off balance or render them unconscious before they could concoct a better strategy against her. She was also trained in multiple martial arts and unarmed combat fields by Captain America, making her into an adept combatant.

| - *As Wasp: When reduced in size, Janet is more vulnerable to damage despite her higher muscle density. As Wasp, it is far easier to damage her due to her tiny size.
*As Giant-Girl: It is possible to use Janet's own size against her. Giant-Girl can lose her balance in small spaces when supersized, and it is more damaging if she falls over when giant, because of her greater mass. When giant, Janet also makes a very large target.

| - *After a great deal of field experience, Janet seems to prefer using her Wasp abilities primarily, while resorting to her Giant-Girl persona only when she believes she can't handle the job as Wasp.
*Janet is able to shrink to lesser heights than Hank because she has exercised and honed her shrinking abilities a lot more than Hank, due to the fact that Janet primarily chooses to utilize her Wasp persona.
