| - Dak was born on the planet of Fresia. His parents were both low laying people, employed in nearby trade routes helping deliver things from place to place. Dak had made many friends and had become their entertainment. He didn't care though, it was just nice to be around people while his parents were gone. He had been living a good life until something unexpected happened to his parents during their routine work. They were supposed to be transporting a few barrels of some sort of "spice" to the crime leader on Nal Hutta at the time. Dak never found out his name from his parents, all he knew was that his parents were getting paid large amounts of money for doing this service. Little did he know, they were only getting paid so much because it was an illegal activity. The Republic eventually caught on to what was happening as they realized the Hutt's empire was growing. They, obviously, wanted to destabilize crime in the galaxy and decided to step in. Unfortunately for the family, the Republic finally captured the two and interrogated them until they gave up the location of the Hutt's base of operations. Strange they didn't assume it would be on Nal Hutta, but after that they were taken to make the delivery to the Hutt, catching him in the act. The three of them were all forced into a prison, though his parents did not receive as much time for complying with the Republic. Dak lived on his own at home for three months at the age of 10, not knowing where his parents had gone to. He had to go to friends houses to eat, and their parents were always concerned for his safety. Eventually fed up with having to wait for them to come home, he took action and snuck aboard a transport leaving the planet, heading somewhere he did not know. Luckily he was in the cargo hold, so he had a good chance of taking anything that he could find for himself. He nabbed himself a belt and some grenades, not knowing at the time that the belt had the ability to cloak him. This would eventually lead to some bad things for Dak, as people would realize there stuff was gone, fingerprints would be taken and he would be charged with theft. Even more unfortunate was that he had been taken to Coruscant by the transport, so it did not take the Republic long to find him. Scared for his life, he accidentally activated a plasma grenade that he had taken and killed three of the soldiers who were standing too close to him. After that, he didn't know what to do and was taken into custody. After being questioned, revealing his name, the soldiers took him to the local prison, showing him his parents locked up in opposing cells. Dak couldn't believe his eyes, his parents had been arrested. He didn't know why, and he didn't really care either, he just wanted to get out of there so it couldn't happen to him too. He spun around quickly and kicked the guard where the sun don't shine and ran as fast as he could out of the building. But as soon as he stepped outside he was knocked unconscious. He awoke in a bland home, nothing spectacular around anywhere. He saw a man sitting on a chair, watching him closely. The man was dressed in dark clothes, a hood creating a shadow that covered his face. He began speaking to Dak, telling him that he had caused a lot of trouble. There was a bounty on his head now for killing those Republic soldiers, he had become the youngest person with a bounty. Nobody would want to kill a kid though, yet. He first apologized for hitting Dak in the head with the butt end of his blade, it left a gash in Dak's forehead. He was informed that the man's name was Alo, and he also had a bounty on his head. He had once been an overseer for a secret bounty hunter's guild who killed very important people. He had no intention to turn Dak that way, he said he had the potential to still be a good kid, he just wanted to help him out, prepare him for the hard road that he would face ahead. Dak had to accept the offer, he did not want to be hunted his whole life with no way to defend himself. For the next eight years or so, Alo began training Dak in the tricks of the trade. Dak learned many things from Alo, hacking, breaking through security, planting mines, and told him that the belt he had taken could actually make him invisible to the naked eye. He taught him how to reliably use blasters and briefly how to use melee weapons, but said that there were some things that he was already doing that could not be taught. He told Dak that he had the ability to dodge in and out of blaster fire and that he knew where to go and what situations to avoid. He had the makings of a great bounty hunter, should he choose to accept it, though he also told him there was something else there that he could not teach. Something that would need much wiser people to teach. Alo had learned some himself, but had left before getting too indulged. After many long years, Alo sent Dak on his way with a present of two blasters, saying that he also had to go into hiding somewhere safer so that he could live the rest of his life helping people instead of hurting them. Using all the skill he had gained, Dak went to a large temple like structure and walked inside, being greeted by a green alien. He asked him for directions to the hangar, and foolishly, they were given. He made his way there and hijacked himself a brand new ship, taking up out of the atmosphere and heading for the first coordinates that he pushed in. They took him to the desert planet of Tatooine. As soon as he got off of his ship, he was greeted by Republic soldiers. He rolled his eyes and activated his stealth belt. He didn't want to hurt anyone that didn't deserve it that day, so he just snuck off into the distance leaving them dumbfounded. Unfortunately, he went from the frying pan and into the fire as he walked into a cantina uncloaked. Everyone recognized his face as a bounty, and eventually everyone in there was holding a blaster. Soon, one blaster bolt went off and mayhem blew out. Lasers were flying everywhere and Dak rolled under a nearby counter. He pulled out his two blasters and shot the three people immediately in front of him who could have seen him. He then activated his stealth generator again and crawled around carefully on the floor, setting remote mines near everyone who was in the cantina. After placing all the mines and finding a safe spot to stay, he activated all the mines, sending bodies flying every which way, unlikely that any of them lived. He rose to his feat and sat at the bar, deactivating the cloak once again. The bartender was still safe, and obviously did not want to try anything now. He took a few drinks and went about his business. Now, he had to steal another ship, his last one had been impounded by those Republic soldiers. They had also assumed that the deaths in the cantina were his doing, raising the bounty even more, dead or alive now. Unfortunately, he picked the wrong ship to take. It was a Red Sun slaver ship, and took him directly to the same palace that his parents had worked in before their arrest. It would seem the Hutt had escaped captivity somehow and ordered that Dak be taken prisoner. It worked like a charm and Dak was taken into a special prison cell in the Hutt's palace. Dak was there for quite some time before a foolish employee decided to take the liberty of killing Dak and taking the bounty for himself. But Dak was far cleverer than that. As soon as the man took the shot, Dak moved his head out of the way, the bolt scraping across his cheek. He feigned and fell to the ground, pretending to be dead. As the man picked him up, he spun around and punched him in the face, then uppercut his nose, killing him instantly. He was really getting tired of having to deal with people this way and was bent on getting this bounty off his head. Now out of his cell, he made his way to the Hutt's hangar and stole yet another ship, thinking it wouldn't be registered and began making his way back to Coruscant. It was on this trip that Dak met Rejik, a crime lord and Andrew, a high priest of something or other. The three of them made their way to Coruscant where they encountered the great Mandalore, who proceeded to injure Rejik and force them into competition with each other. Rejik had one leg and was in grave danger of being killed after the competition, until a new man interrupted and helped everything. He led Mandalore away, while Dak picked up Rejik and began running to his ship, trying to save his life.
