Tronil Excenil was a member of the Excenil family of Naboo and Moff of the Chommell sector in 4 ABY, replacing Panaka after the latter rose up in the ranks. Having come of age during the Trade Federation invasion and occupation of 32 BBY, he developed a militaristic view and was regarded as one of Palpatine's more devoted followers all his life. In his position of power, he was alienated from the discontented populace, and on the Emperor's death was driven by the people of Theed from his position and planet. He returned with an imperial fleet and retook Naboo, but soon found himself engaging a rebel force sent to liberate the planet. During the ensuing battle he was fatally shot by a civilian farmer.
