Gauntlet Squadron was a New Republic starfighter squadron used in conjunction with Corsair Squadron during the Bacta War. It consisted of X-wings and B-wings. When Rogue Squadron resigned its commission to fight in the Bacta War, Gauntlet Squadron was relied upon heavily by the New Republic to carry out the elite squadron's duties. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Gauntlet Squadron was one of the starfighter squads assigned to the Soothfast in the Meridian sector. The squadron took heavy losses at the Battle near Exodo II but was able to stop the Yuuzhan Vong from recovering the Priestess Elan.
