John Thompson Guice (November 5, 1923 – October 1, 2001) was the national director of the Air National Guard from Feb 1977 - April 1981. and retired in 1982. He completed pilot training in May 1944, and graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y in 1947. A graduate of Air War College Commemorative History class of 1966. In 1972, the general was assigned as executive of the National Guard Bureau, moving up to deputy director of the Air National Guard in 1974 and director in 1977.
