Tips
| - This quest is mostly Misty Cliffs-centric. It may be easier to start this quest when your pole is level 43 so you catch the Smiling Porpoises and don't get whiffs.
- The Toby Richards fish may be your bottleneck fish for this quest, since it's not only a level 100 requirement to catch, it's also one of the rarer fish in the game. It may be best to wait to start until your pole is level 90, so you spend less time with whiffs and leveling up your pole.
- This is a fairly straight forward quest. Don't buy the add-on for the pole before starting the quest, as it will increase your chances of catching non-quest fish.
- Stay in Poseidon's Ring to finish this quest. If you have any Diet Light, use that to repel the Glutton Fish Use Sticky Glue to attact the Slippery Eel if you have those remaining to catch. It's easier to do this quest as soon as your pole is capable of doing so, as this will prevent you from catching higher level fish which will extend the length of the quest.
- Significantly easier than the previous quest, it would be recommended to start this quest on a level 73 pole to avoid getting stuck on level 80 without being able to buy the next augment. It is possible to start the quest on a level 78 pole but wranglers may experience lots of whiffs from the level 83 Globster fish if the quest wasn't able to be completed before the pole is level 80. This is a Bottomless Depths-only quest
- The Chameleon Fish are more prolific in Bottomless Depths than in Misty Cliffs, so eliminate those first. Travel to Misty Cliffs to catch the Neck Shark and Battle Turtle Fish, as they can't be caught in Bottomless Depths. You will likely catch the Battle Turtle Fish as you try for the Neck Shark. The Neck Shark can be caught with Spinal Fluid, although this may be the more expensive route in the long run. The Underbite Fish may be your bottleneck fish in this quest; RLC/FLC will help. Some wranglers have used Liquid Gold to catch the Underbite, but it has been caught with RLC and time.
- Start off by catching the blue whales in Poseidon's Ring. After they are done, move to Misty Cliffs to catch the Underbites. Once the Underbite fish are all caught, move to Bottomless Depths to finish the quest.
