She won the twelfth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 and the following year began presenting main series such as Love Island (not to be confused with the mid-2000s ITV show of the same name) and Series 12 of The X Factor, the latter show replacing long-standing presenter, Dermot O'Leary and presenting alongside Murs again. Their presenting drew much criticism from the British public and led to Dermot O'Leary being reinstated as presenter once more for the following series.
