About: Hunter R/biology   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

The Hunter R series was noticeably an ectothermic species, being "cold-blooded" and so dependent largely on the climate to assist in their metabolism. This can be seen in how they began brumating in the Raccoon City Underground Laboratory when the temperature was lowered, entering dormancy as frost gathered on their bodies. When the temperature on the level increased, they woke up and shattered the frost covering them. It is also understood that this species was smaller and weaker than other Hunter products, though made up for it in pack instinct.
