Michael McCullough was a Half-African-American, Half Asian, born in New York City after his parents and older sister moved from Atlanta. Though respectful of his parents and his Christian upbringing, Michael still desired to fit in with his high school peers out of envy. He was also a fan of superheroes, having devotedly followed the career of Spider-Man.
Discovering His Powers
One night, Michael went to attend a party at Chase Forbes House, only to leave after his friend, Brandon, try to guilt his girlfriend into sleeping with him. As whe walked on his way home, New York was suddenly enveloped in the Terrigen Mists, which had been released by the hand of the Inhuman Black Bolt, and Michael fell unconscious from exposure.
Michael woke up and broke out of his Terrigenesis cocoon, an earthquake suddenly started.
Mistaking him for a villain he fired webbing at him but he levitated up out of fear and yelled for help. Spider-Man then realized he wasn't a villain and pulled him down. Spider-Man explained that he was the of the New Inhumans, Michael himself was confused about what to do with his power. Spider-Man answered with "With great power, there must also come great responsibility", Spider-Man then gives him a spider tracker and tell him to follow it tomorrow if he wanted to be a hero and swings away.

| - Inhuman Metabolism: Besides strength, Michael possesses certain physical skills superior to those of human athletes. His Inhuman metabolism affords him slightly greater reaction time, endurance, and speed than the human race's most perfect physical specimen, Captain America.

Vibration Manipulation: Michael gained the ability to manipulate and enhance vibrations which can produce effects such as earthquakes and shockwaves when he was exposed to the mist from the Terrigen Bomb. According to Medusa and Tony Stark, he is able to sense and tap into the vibrational energy of everything around him. The vibrations are connected to his heart rate, and as a negative result he can lose control of his powers whenever hisheartbeat increases. His body is able to withstand enhancing and releasing intense vibrational waves, however attempting to forcefully internalize or hold back his powers will put an excessive strain on his body and can lead to internal injuries like ruptured veins, hair-line bone fractures, or other severe consequences, which requires him to use casts created by Tony Stark. When focused, his abilities' extend to the point that he can create both force barriers and powerful concussive waves of sheer force. After learning about his powers from Daisy Johnson, Michael has achieved greater control over his powers and no longer loses control of them. He first used them to cause a tree to explode, again to make several glasses of water ring, but ultimately ended up shattering them. In the attack on a KGB base, Michael effectively used his powers to blast away his opponents. During the opening of the Inhuman/Mutant War, he made Deadpool's weapons explode and defeated him by breaking both of his arms, legs, and making his heart explode. He is also able to focus his power to shatter materials, as when she used it to destroy the floor underneath Mr. Hyde during their first confrontation, making him fall down to the floor below. He was shown to be able create platforms via blast of vibrations, as shown when Peter Parker was falling to his death.
Since sound is the vibration of air molecules, Michael is acute to sounds that other people can not hear.
