The team played their home games at the Exchange Arena, located in Little Falls, Minnesota. The Aces play a 48 game regular season games, in addition to showcase and post season tournament games. The team were coached by Craig Larson, former scout for the International Scouting Service, that ranks players for the NHL. The team was later coached by Jim Jensen starting midway throught the 2014-15 season.

The team was later coached by Jim Jensen starting midway throught the 2014-15 season. The Aces first season was the 2007–08 season as members of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MnJHL). Following the 2010–11 season, the franchise moved to the North American 3 Hockey League along with in-state rival,the Granite City Lumberjacks.
