He also played for the St. Louis Flyers of the American Hockey League. The next season (1952-53) was the first of 15 consecutive seasons in the Western Hockey League. During this stretch, Witiuk played for the Calgary Stampeders, Winnipeg Warriors, Spokane Comets, Denver Invaders, and the Victoria Maple Leafs. Witiuk finished off his career with the Spokane Jets of the senior Western International Hockey League from 1967 to 1969.
