Lok was an especially thin Nemoidian due to sickness throughout almost his entire life. The virus outbreak was a huge scare to his family, so he spent almost half of his life off world, keeping tabs on the government through holonews outlets and direct communications with high ministers. (Of course, when they weren’t working on the virus containment.) When the outbreak was contained, he was asked to stay on world for the duration of his life if he would be willing to take a position as head of the Economic and Recreational Committee, a position he gained due to his bloodline of bureaucrats (whether on Cato Nemoidia or in the Republic Senate.) | - Lok was an especially thin Nemoidian due to sickness throughout almost his entire life. The virus outbreak was a huge scare to his family, so he spent almost half of his life off world, keeping tabs on the government through holonews outlets and direct communications with high ministers. (Of course, when they weren’t working on the virus containment.) When the outbreak was contained, he was asked to stay on world for the duration of his life if he would be willing to take a position as head of the Economic and Recreational Committee, a position he gained due to his bloodline of bureaucrats (whether on Cato Nemoidia or in the Republic Senate.) His offworld experience gave him firsthand account of what other species did for recreation, and ideas about what he could do to bring in tourists after the outbreak was contained. While he was a Nemoidian, his natural greed was not excessive as most. He didn’t feel that money was how he could be happy – instead of hoarding the money; he spent obscene amounts on entertainment and droids for personal use. While BettyBots were a personal favorite, he had a nice collection of protocol and astromech droids. Rumor has it that he had a collection of ancient Sith Civil War era war and personal droids. Only a select few droids were given personality chips and a few were actually outfitted with weapons. While he loved collecting and being served by Droids, he bought junker droids to duke it out for his personal enjoyment. Not only did he watch Droids fight but he also bet on Rancor fights and was rumored to be involved in a scandal that would have brought three or four Gorogs back to Cato Nemoidia in an effort to revive the arena battles that were stopped with the death of Baron Tarko and his Gorog. Because of his fascination with underground Rancor battles, he was constantly being associated with underground deals with the black markets, Hutt markets or spice rings. These rumors were false and were mostly perpetrated by political opponents.
