- Country music is a genre of United States popular music that originated in the Southern USA in the 1920s.
- Country Music is a style of American music which White-Americans borrowed from their Black Friends. Once upon a time a group of drunken rednecks who we were feeling like shit found s, guitars, harmonicas, and fiddles. They had no musical training but, after randomly picking the strings, actually produced a decent sound. Scientists to this day are convinced that the only way this happened was because of their alcohol abuse. Therefore, to honor this great tradition, many country artists play absolutely wasted. - Immigrants to the Southern Appalachian Mountains of North America brought the music and instruments of Europe along with them for nearly 300 years. Country music was "introduced to the world as a Southern phenomenon." The first generation emerged in the early 1920s, with Atlanta's music scene playing a major role in launching country's earliest recording artists. Okeh Records began issuing hillbilly music records by Fiddlin' John Carson as early as 1923, followed by Columbia Records (series 15000D "Old Familiar Tunes") (Samantha Bumgarner) in 1924, and RCA Victor Records in 1927 (the Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers). Many "hillbilly" musicians, such as Cliff Carlisle, recorded blues songs throughout the 1920s.
- Country music also touched on topics related to the rural lifestyle of "hillbillies," and living in small towns. Most country singers at one time or another mentioned Texas at some point. At its' core however, country music was about the truth, the real world from the perspective of middle class Americans, no matter how sad it was.
- Country music (or Hickcore) is an art within itself being both a form of brain aching horribleness and an oxymoron. Country music was invented by such characters as Doc Watson and Slim Dusty. The former being a doctor who went by the surname of Watson and the latter being an under-eating farmhand. They came up with their own names as well as their own music, which is probably where all the talent went.

- Ah, country music. The American answer to Folk Music that is mostly associated with places like Kansas and men wearing cowboy attire unironically. Despite its widespread notoriety, country music is not bad, as proved by many musicians, and is in fact by some measures the most listened-to genre of music in the United States.
