Darth Artoo's Crusade was a small, but influential battle on the Forest Moon of Endor that took place during the Second Clone War. Darth Artoo, an experimental droid programmed to do Darth Monarchist's bidding, use the Force, and wield lightsabers, was assigned to lead a small task force of Super Battle Droids to the surface of Endor's moon to hunt down Jacen Solo and Tenel Ka, the only survivors of the Battle of the Volcanic Moon of Endor known to the Second Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Jedi were tracked to Tree Tower village, the residence of Owen Kenobi. Because the force took the Ewoks by surprise, the army of Ewoks led by the so-called "Endorian Jedi Order" was unprepared for battle in the manner of the last time they met, at the officially titled Second Battle of Endor. • Darth Artoo's Crusade was a small, but influential battle on the Forest Moon of Endor that took place during the Second Clone War. Because three lightsaber-wielding Jedi were present at the battle, the Super Battle Droids did not so heavily slaughter the Ewok warriors armed only with rocks, trees, sticks, and cleverness so much as Darth Monarchist had predicted. However, the Ewoks only did escape the battle with their village in ruins from the flames that erupted in the intense blaster fire, and the B-2 units were confused by the intense flickering light as the forest fire raged on. Because Darth Artoo managed to displace the Ewoks that survived the battle, kill Owen Kenobi, and defeat Jacen Solo, the Second Confederacy of Independent Systems declared victory over the primitive Ewoks. However, because the Ewoks were able to still lead their lives with the assistance of the Jedi Order Owen started, and the two Jedi Knights that Darth Artoo was hunting in the battle survived as the Force-ghost of Owen protected them, the New Republic considered the battle a victory in their favor.
