Mites are like any other insect when it comes to the cold. They cease movement to protect themselves. While freezing does not actually kill mites it can keep clothes in a cleaner state by slowing down the mites so they do not breed and grow. What you will need: * Freezer * Bags, either ziplock or plastic * Cleaned clothes How to do it: Note: * Clothes will start to stink after a few days as they absorb moisture and smell from the freezer. A box of baking soda in the freezer can help as can a freezer defrost. * Freezer will not kill mites. Just slow them down.
