Norman Chandler (September 14, 1899 – October 20, 1973) was the publisher of the Los Angeles Times from 1945 to 1960. He is largely credited with the success of the newspaper in the mid-20th Century. In 1960, he handed control of the Times to his son, Otis. He and his wife, Dorothy also acted as civic benefactors for Los Angeles.
