Stances refer to the various positions, postures, and conditions fighters can be in during rounds of fighting in the Dead or Alive series. Depending on which stance a fighter is in changes how the fighter can attack and block, and each stance also has different advantages and disadvantages.

- When viewing the Stance pages, you'll notice numbers next to the skills available in that stance: [XX/Y]. The XX is the Stance Level (out of 25) at which you learn that skill. The Y is how many Skill Points it costs to level that skill, to a maximum Skill Level of 10.
