Light-cannons are a type of handheld ray gun that General Loki used to make objects in his nightmare world on board the Sauropod disappear seemingly at his will. He used it to vaporize Iggy's jet-cycles and make pursuing raptors vanish, but lost it when he was tackled by Teggs. Arx picked it up, demonstrating it on a sabre-toothed banana, and used it to fight the other dream-creatures until it ran out of power, unable to destroy Loki's dream meteor.
