Synopsis
  • A short time after the events of last issue, Spider-Man awakens to find himself trapped by the Queen, they argue and she kisses him again. It is revealed that the first kiss went out on public television, in the grocery store Aunt May tells Mary Jane. Outside the building, Nick Fury is told by General Hayes that Captain America has the situation under control. Unfortunately he is actuall also the Queen's prisoner and being suspended upside down in webbing, he breaks free and recovers his shield, freeing Spider-Man. Cap reveals he dated Adrianna in 1945 as he battles with Spider-Man. Spider-Man chases the Queen only for her to convince some of her drone into commiting suicide. She then defeats Spider-Man with her mental power. SHIELD helicopters launch a missile at her, but she uses her powers to turn it around. Captain Ameirca knocks the Queen of the building, and accuses Spider-Man of being reckless. Spider-Man says that is how Captain America was once.
Notes
  • * This is one of several prologues to the Avengers Disassembled event.
quotation
  • Peter. Kissing that awful woman on television. I'm sure it was all blown way out of proportion. I've said too much.
