The Goliath is a giant wooden robot created by Lord Balthazar in the Season 5 episode "Bigmouth's Friend". After King Gerard refused to give Clockwork Smurf over to Balthazar and Gargamel, Balthazar swore revenge and built the Goliath to destroy the king's castle. The Goliath proved formidable, being able to withstand the barrage of arrows, boulders and boiling hot oil from King Gerard's army all while only suffering minor damage and still pummeling the castle walls. Clockwork Smurf then confronted the giant brute, preparing to fight it with a rock tied to a sling. Sadly Clockwork's efforts proved futile and he was crushed by the mechanical brute. Bigmouth witnessed this and took on the Goliath himself, easily overpowering it and throwing it against the castle wall, crushing it to pieces.
