Samantha Womack, née Janus, is an English actress, singer, and director who represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 in Rome with the song A Message To Your Heart, which finished in joint 10th place with Ireland. Since 1993, she has engaged in an acting career and from 2007, she played the role of Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC soap EastEnders. Womack finished filming with the highly popular show in 2016 after her character was killed in a New Year's Special. She had previously appeared in the show as a girlfriend of the character Simon Wicks.
