| - The first Cieln heard during the course of Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star, this Song's name translates to "Protector of the Cielns", or more loosely, "Protector of the Singer", as its purpose is protecting the Surge Concerto Terminal that serves as the central control system to the entirety of Colony Ship Soreil and the main Song Magic library in which the Cielns are stored and processed. Since this Song's purpose has nothing to do with the main reason the Surge Concerto Terminal itself exists for, it forms part of one of the maintenance libraries stored in the Terminal: the Protecta Class, and its effects are exerting control over all the Guardians (war machines and robotic weapons) that are deployed throughout the ship. The reason for the scope it has is because this Song was created before the Surge Concerto Terminal was added to Soreil, so its original area of effect was expanded to cover the entire spacecraft. This Song has a relatively simple program for controlling the Guardians, but still poses a tremendous burden to the singer due to the sheer number of robots she would have to manipulate at the same time, not to mention the large area they protect due to Soreil's size. It is due to this that the Surge Concerto Terminal was endowed with a support system called the CAHS (Cieln Adapted Hymmnication System), which will sing with the singer and support them in the processing of the Song, allowing a single person to control a contingent of thousands of robots. Thanks to this, the singer only has to give a basic group of instructions and the advanced AI system of the CAHS will take care of the rest, individually programming each robot with the most efficient battle strategies and orders it can devise. Initially, Doctor Leolm gave this Song to Sarly so she could use it to help Felion fight against the Genomirai Church, but Zill took it away from her hands after she was captured during an espionage mission shortly after Delta opened the Felion Wall and allowed the Sharls to wreak havoc in the city; and thus she gave the Genomirai Church complete control over the Guardians that were supposed to protect Soreil. Therefore, recovering it was the first mission Delta and Casty were assigned after they rescued Sarly. A little later, when they and Prim infiltrated the headquarters of the Genomirai Church a second time, they found this Song Downloaded into the soulless vessel Zill had prepared for bringing Kanon and Cosal back to the world and Sarly used a REON-4213 spell to take it out from the vessel and Download it into Cass. However, since the Download took place as they were cornered by Zill and her followers, unfortunately it exceeded Cass' capacity as an Incarnate and caused her to faint, allowing Zill to capture the group. When they managed to escape and as they tried to leave the Church, Zill ambushed them with a group of robots controlled by her version of this Song, but then Cass began singing her own version of Ciel N Protecta to null out the effects. Delta protected her the best he could until the Song could take effect, and once it did the Guardians were deactivated, ending the threat they posed to Felion. However, Zill announced she used this Song only because it was convenient to her and that the true Song she was planning to use for bringing their God back to this world: Class::CIEL_NOSURGE;, had been already prepared in a more suitable vessel. The party couldn't arrest or question her further because a group of Sharls attacked them with Song Magic and Delta had to use his body as a shield to protect them, allowing the Archbishop a swift retreat.
