Brogalaw, simply known as Brog, was the son of Frutch and a Skipper of Otters. He kept the heron Rulango as a pet, and led a holt of sea otters. Brog's holt was driven from their home in the Southern Coast by Ungatt Trunn and his Blue Hordes. Brogalaw was bent on revenge, and willingly assisted the hares of Salamandastron to escape the mountain, and formed the Bark Crew along with them to combat the wildcat's presence. He was one of the few survivors of the ambush Ripfang and Doomeye laid for the Bark Crew (where he took an arrow through the shoulder), and later helped Lord Brocktree to take Salamandastron back once and for all. He and his otters returned to the Southern Coasts after the final battle, using a ship commandeered from Trunn's army.
