Reese inquires on her thoughts on the future, and Carter expresses her desire to one day retire to a beach. However, she feels doing so will put her son's education in jeopardy. Reese is going through Carter's belongings, and finds an envelope containing a picture of him and Jessica which Carter retrieved (“Many Happy Returns”) Fusco enters, but Reese sends him away to help Finch while he investigates the crime scene.
