Ruth Kettlewell (13th April 1913 - 17th July 2007) appeared in the untransmitted Coronation Street spin-off Rest Assured in 1972. Born Ruth Anne Berry, she began in amateur dramatics in the late 1940s after the death of her husband in the Second World War. She moved into repertory theatre making her television debut in 1956 in roles in the children's programme Potts, Gangbuster and going on to make numerous appearances in many television roles including Emergency-Ward 10, No Hiding Place, Armchair Theatre, The Likely Lads, The Wednesday Play, The Dick Emery Show, Out of the Unknown, Here Come the Double Deckers!, On The Buses, The Onedin Line, Z Cars, Boy Dominic and its sequel Dominic, Mike Yarwood in Persons, The Famous Five, The Basil Brush Show, In Loving Memory, All Creatures Great an
