  • Post punk band known for hits Reptile and Under the Milky Way.
  • The Church is the third episode in the first season of Hunters (TV series). It follows Blood Revenge and is followed by Devil's Mark.
  • The Church is an Australian new wave-progressive rock band whose songs "Blood Money" (in "Heart of Night") and "Under The Milky Way" (in "Asian Cut") appeared in the series Miami Vice.
  • The Church is the third chapter of the third campaign in Left 4 Dead, Death Toll. It takes place near the town of Riverside, beginning inside of a safe room located in a caboose. The Survivors must make their way through an abandoned trainyard, down an empty street bordered by thick woods, and ultimately they reach a church with a safe house.
  • There were Anglicans in the Church, some of whom were marines. (TV: A Good Man Goes to War) Some planets were "heaven-neutral," like the Gamma Forests. It was considered unusual to find their inhabitants in the church military force. (TV: A Good Man Goes to War)
  • The Church are an Australian psychedelic rock band formed in Sydney in 1980. Initially associated with new wave, neo-psychedelia and indie rock, their music later came to feature slower tempos and surreal soundscapes reminiscent of dream pop and post-rock. The band were a support act for Duran Duran in 1982.
  • The church is not God! That's something Christian fundamentalists should know... but, we know how intelligent they are. The church is actually a religious body (or you can just call it a movement) ruled by bishops, popes, nuns, Republicans, priests and whatnot. They like to present themselves as the will of God (that is really fu**ing impossible due to the fact they never really met God) and blabber about moral values.
  • When Eko took it upon himself to build a church, he marked off his favorite trees which he would use to construct it with. He enlisted the help of Charlie to assist him in its construction. Eko began planning to build the church in Fire + Water when he was marking trees, stating that they were the ones he liked. Charlie eventually was recruited to help Eko, who kept what they were building a secret at first. When Eko decides that pushing the button in the hatch is his main priority, Charlie is left to complete the construction by himself to which he finds great difficulty doing so.
  • In medieval Germany, the Teutonic Knights massacre a village of supposed "witches" and build the titular structure over their dead bodies. In the present day, the church's new librarian (Tomas Arana) breaks the seal of the crypt out of curiosity and releases the evil spirits contained beneath it. At the same time, the church's automated mechanisms, which were set up by the architect who built the church, are triggered, causing the doors to close and trapping everyone inside, including a group of visitors. Father Gus (Hugh Quarshie), the only person not affected by the demons, eventually finds the way to make the church collapse on itself but dies in the process of doing so. Before the movie ends, Lotte (Asia Argento), the sacristan's daughter and the sole survivor of the incident, is seen
  • In the past 26 years, the Church have become international superstars, playing on Saturday Night Live, the Howard Stern Show, Oprah Winfrey, and a Starbucks in Nebraska. Their hit single, "Maybe These Boys," lingered at #1 on the music charts in French Polynesia for eight weeks in 1993. Steve Kilbey can be found Sunday mornings on American public access television alongside his second cousin, Bono, hosting telethons for children suffering from various socioeconomic evils.
  • The Church is a local church that is a location in the Silent Hill film, and it is dedicated to the worship of a fanatical cult known as the Brethren that resides within the town of Silent Hill. Initially, neither the Otherworld nor the Fog World can penerate into the church; however a portal is opened into the Otherworld the end of the film. Another possibility is that the church was built by the cult themselves before it had seceded from Christianity.
