Ashel-and-Jeren Maji-Janak of Lorrd, otherwise known as Maji Janak for short, is one of the first Jedi Masters to attain the prestigious rank in the post-Endor Jedi Order. A quiet, laid-back man, Maji is skilled in the Lorrdian art of kinetic communication and believes that more can be said in a well-worded sentence than a lengthy speech. Maji is therefore not one to draw attention to his accomplishments, content to let his actions serve as their own reward.

Maji is therefore not one to draw attention to his accomplishments, content to let his actions serve as their own reward. Maji is a skilled warrior, but doesn't engage in combat unless he comes across a situation that can't be resolved with words. He also stresses a more hands-off approach to training Jedi under his guidance; giving them instructions on how to do something and then allowing them to figure out the rest on their own. He is the current master of Kail, a monk trained in the art of Linshi, which stresses many of the same principles as kinetic communication. He has also recently started training Sona Nevri at Kail's behest.
